This comprehensive 45-minute shooting workout develops pure shooting mechanics, footwork alignment on the catch, perimeter consistency, and clutch focus under pressure. Junior players build repeatable mechanics from close range out to the key perimeter.

The Routine

  1. Warmup (9 mins): form-shooting - One-hand form shooting from 1 metre in front of the ring, reinforcing high release and wrist snap.
  2. Main Drill 1 (18 mins): catch-and-shoot-footwork - Hop and 1-2 step footwork catching and shooting from 5 spots around the key.
  3. Main Drill 2 (13 mins): around-the-world-shooting - Consecutive perimeter shooting ladder around the key advancing on makes.
  4. Finisher (5 mins): swish-only-challenge - High-standard arc and rotation shooting drill where only pure swishes count toward the target score.
