Solo 30-Minute Driveway Finishing & Shooting

⏱ Total Time: 30 Minutes
📍 Location: Driveway or Backyard with Ring
👥 Participants: Solo (by-yourself)
🎒 Gear: 1 x basketball, 1 ring, 4 cones, runners

This comprehensive 30-minute workout expands a junior player’s scoring repertoire around the key. It blends downhill deceleration, floater touch over taller help defenders, baseline reverse craft using the backboard, and reliable wing bank shot mechanics.

The Routine

  1. Warmup & Change of Pace (5 mins): cone-hesitation-blowby - Attacking cones with sharp stutter steps and accelerating past simulated defenders.
  2. High-Arc Finishing (8 mins): floater-teardrop-drill - Attacking the key off the bounce, gathering with a balanced jump stop, and launching soft floaters over imaginary help defenders before reaching the ring.
  3. Baseline Reverse Work (7 mins): reverse-layup-drill - Driving along the baseline to finish on the opposite side of the ring using the backboard to shield from shot blockers.
  4. Perimeter Shooting Finisher (10 mins): bank-shot-angles - Shooting from 45-degree angles on both wings, banking the basketball into the net off the backboard sweet spot.
